About Clinical Window

Clinical Window Web Journal (CWWJ) is an Internet based service for the medical and clinical professionals, sponsored by GE Healthcare. CWWJ belongs to our Clinical Window educational program, which also organizes scientific symposia at selected international congresses - see Congress Proceedings for additional information.

Our purpose is to report developments in critical care medicine, respiratory care, anesthesiology, cardiology, ER and other related fields of medicine, and also provide up-to-date information and educational material concerning medical technology and its applications. Please note that Clinical Window's published information is intended only for healthcare professionals, not for the patients.

Clinical Window Web Journal offers two services. The first service is a magazine style clinical e-journal, where a selected topic is featured in an educational and easily readable format.

The second service is our searchable information archive. We are making good progress iimplementing a new keyword based indexed search, allowing modern search engine based data-mining from the Clinical Window Knowledge Base. This "Site Search" has became very popular duringn its first year of use, when it was run parallel with our old search system. In fact, we have now replaced our old "archives" with the new one, which remains accessible from the menu on the left side of the screen.

Our information archive will be complemented with all the new material appearing on the "magazine" section. Over time, the Knowledge Base will grow and will become a comprehensive source of information on healthcare technologies.

Our purpose and intention is neither to make treatment recommendations, nor to iinfluence patient-physician relationship in any way.

Information in the material Clinical Window publishes always and solely reflects the author's individual experience and opinions. Hence, let us strongly emphasize to the healthcare providers who are our audience that they should always carefully consult current local regulations and care guidelines in terms of practice, and the material should always be studied in concurrence with information from regulatory authorities and pharmaceutical companies before potentially selecting a drug and/or its dosing before its administration for a specific patient.
