Dear readers, It is the time to celebrate, as Clinical Window Web Journal (CWWJ) has its fifth birthday. We wish to emphasize the importance of that event by publishing our 20th issue: "Window on Cardiology". The new issue is published on the eve of the European Society of Cardiology 2005 congress in Stockholm, and from now on CWWJ will include cardiology among our core topics of medical excellence. In the future, we will regularly publish cardiology articles, as well. As Editor-in-chief I am delighted about our five-year growth, and our recent statistics suggest that over 50.000 readers will see this new cardiology issue on the web. In this issue, we have contributions from three recognized professors.
The names of the authors suggest that their topics are covered with a high scientific touch. Hence, I am not reviewing their contents here, but invite you to visit the CWWJ web site and read yourself. You may download PDF files of the articles for your personal use. See also the column reflecting the Swedish information system experiences from Malmö University Hospital. This five-year-old journal will continue to grow and develop. Our Clinical Window Collection CD 2000-2004 continues to be a success, and I look forward to publishing a new collection CD (including cardiology) at the end of the year. I would be delighted to receive input from our many readers, including letters, comments, and suggestions. I greatly appreciate your opinions. Thank you in advance! Ilkka S. Kalli, MD, PhD, MBA
